SyncLink - Chrome Extension
Last updated: July 31, 2026

The short version: SyncLink stores your saved video library locally in your browser. Your saved links, names, tags, playlists, and local library history are not uploaded to a SyncLink cloud account. Activation and optional forgotten Vault PIN recovery may use your purchase email and short-lived verification/session credentials to confirm access, but Vault recovery does not send your PIN or library data to SyncLink. Fixed paid-acquisition tests may record an allowlisted campaign label and content-free funnel milestones. SyncLink does not sell your data, use third-party analytics, or download video files.

1. Data SyncLink Stores Locally

Your saved video library: SyncLink stores your library in Chrome's local extension storage. Library data may include video URLs, titles or custom names, thumbnail URLs, tags, playlists, saved dates, and local library/watch activity used by SyncLink features.

SyncLink does not upload your full library to a SyncLink cloud account. If you uninstall SyncLink, Chrome removes the local extension data, so export your library first if you want a backup.

2. Activation, Billing, And Website Requests

Activation and access checks: SyncLink may use your purchase email, verification code, browser session token, installation identifier, and SyncLink API calls to confirm access. If you use forgotten Vault PIN recovery, SyncLink verifies the active browser and sends a short-lived code to the purchase email already attached to its entitlement. The recovery service does not receive your PIN or saved-video library data.

Billing: Stripe handles checkout, subscriptions, invoices, and payment details. SyncLink may use your purchase email for activation, support, purchase recovery, and verified Vault PIN recovery.

Paid-acquisition measurement: When you arrive through one of SyncLink's fixed paid-campaign links, the website may record the categorical source, medium, campaign, creative, and placement labels in that link. It stores only an opaque acquisition ID in browser session storage, carries that ID into SyncLink-managed Stripe Checkout, and records whether checkout, trial start, activation, first save, first useful library moment, and first positive subscription payment occurred. A first useful library moment means a first save was completed and the saved item then appeared in the library. These records expire after 180 days by default.

Paid-acquisition measurement does not use advertising cookies. It is skipped when Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track is enabled, and a campaign link may use attribution=off to clear and disable the session-scoped attribution ID.

Original-site requests: Thumbnails and videos may load from their original websites when you view your library. When you save a link, SyncLink may request the page from your browser to read the title, thumbnail, or playable URL.

3. Data SyncLink Does Not Collect Or Use

4. Chrome Permissions

SyncLink requests the permissions listed in manifest.json:

5. Export And Backup

You can export your library as a JSON backup from SyncLink. The export file contains your saved library data, so store it somewhere you trust. SyncLink does not receive exported files unless you choose to send one to support.

6. Security

SyncLink keeps extension code bundled with the install package and does not fetch remote extension code. The extension uses Chrome's extension storage, message-sender checks, content security policy controls, import validation, and isolated UI patterns to protect local data inside the browser.

7. Children's Privacy

SyncLink is not directed to children under 13. The extension does not create a child profile or ask for a birth date. If a parent or guardian believes a child used their purchase email with SyncLink, contact support.
